Summoning Technique

[ At 3/16/2009 By rain   0 comments ]
The Summoning Technique (口寄せの術 ,Kuchiyose no Jutsu?) allows a ninja to summon a creature to their side during battle. The creature can then use its own unique abilities or weapons however it sees fit. Before a summon can be performed, a ninja must first sign a contract with the creature in their own blood. After that they need only press their hand to the ground, offer an additional donation of blood, and provide an appropriate amount of chakra to bring the creature to their location.[56] The Summoning Technique has been used by a number of different characters during the series, each of whom summons a different type of creature. The toads summoned by series protagonist Naruto Uzumaki and the snakes summoned by recurring antagonist Orochimaru are the most commonly seen types of summons. During Part II, creatures are shown to be capable of summoning their own kind or even the summoner themselves, allowing them to move around the Naruto world much faster...Read More...

Mangekyo Sharingan

[ At 3/16/2009 By rain   0 comments ]
The Mangekyo Sharingan (万華鏡写輪眼 ,Mangekyō Sharingan?, lit. "Kaleidoscope Copy Wheel Eye") is a heightened form of Sharingan introduced towards the end of Part I. At that time, the Mangekyo Sharingan is explained to be rare among the members of the Uchiha clan, present only in those who have killed their closest friends.[51] In Part II, this is revealed to be false; after Madara Uchiha became the first to awaken his Mangekyo Sharingan, it became common practice for Uchiha clan members to kill their friends to gain their own.[52] It is also revealed that the Mangekyo Sharingan does not need to be gained by killing a friend; instead, it is activated after the death of anyone the user is close to. Sasuke Uchiha gains his own Mangekyo Sharingan when his brother, Itachi Uchiha, dies of natural causes.[53] Under which circumstances Kakashi Hatake gained his Mangekyo Sharingan has yet to be revealed.

Unlike the regular Sharingan, which appears identical from user to user, the Mangekyo Sharingan's tomoe seal differs between individuals. Similarly, each Mangekyo Sharingan grants the user different abilities. Itachi Uchiha can use his Mangekyo Sharingan to induce extremely potent illusions that can kill his targets, form black flames as hot as the sun and creates a spiritual being that gives ultimate offensive and defensive abilities to him. Kakashi Hatake has used none of Itachi's Mangekyo Sharingan abilities, but is capable of warping objects into other dimensions.[54] One feature shared by all Mangekyo Sharingan, however, is the ability to control the nine-tailed demon fox. Once the Mangekyo Sharingan has been gained, the user suffers from ever-deteriorating eyesight, a process that is aggravated by repeated use and culminates in blindness.[55] One's eyesight can be permanently restored by taking the eyes of a sibling who has the Mangekyo Sharingan, a process that fuses their two Mangekyo Sharingan into one "eternal" form with increased power

Shizune

[ At 3/16/2009 By rain   0 comments ]
Shizune (シズネ ?) is a Konohagakure ninja introduced in the series as Tsunade's assistant. She left Konohagakure with Tsunade after the death of her uncle, and over the years, Tsunade taught her medical techniques. Despite her medicinal affinity, many of the attacks she uses in the series are poison-based, including using concealed poisoned needles or emitting toxic gas from her mouth.[158] Shizune is one of the few characters that Tsunade trusts with absolute certainty, as she identifies details that Tsunade tends to overlook. In Part II of the series, Shizune's concern for details causes her to question Tsunade's judgment, creating interference with Tsunade's plans and temporarily straining the relationship between the two.[49] She later investigates Pain, the leader of Akatsuki, but he captures her and removes her soul before she can tell Tsunade of her findings. In the Japanese anime, her seiyū is Keiko Nemoto, and her English voice actor is Megan Hollingshead...Read More...

Konohagakure (木ノ葉隠れの里, Konohagakure no Sato?, lit. "Village Hidden Among Tree Leaves" VIZ "Hidden Leaf Village"), also known as Konoha, is the hidden village within the Land of Fire and the primary setting of the series. As the hidden village of one of the Five Great Shinobi Nations, the village is led by a Kage, known as the Hokage. The faces of all Hokage are engraved on the rock formation overlooking Konohagakure. As of the start of the series, the Third Hokage is the leader of the village. He had abdicated his position in favor of Minato Namikaze, who became the Fourth Hokage, but was forced to reclaim his position after Minato died fighting the nine-tailed demon fox. During Part I of the series, the Third Hokage is killed by his former pupil, Orochimaru, and Tsunade, another of his students, succeeds him as the Fifth Hokage. The origin of Konohagakure is revealed during Part II of the series. The village was formed as part of an alliance between the Uchiha and Senju clans, the strongest clans in the Naruto world at that time. Hashirama Senju, the leader of the Senju clan, became the First Hokage, and defeated Madara Uchiha, the leader of the Uchiha clan, when Madara challenged Hashirama's rule.

Nine-tailed demon fox

[ At 10/8/2008 By rain   0 comments ]
The nine-tailed demon fox (九尾の妖狐, Kyūbi no Yōkō?) is the most powerful of the tailed beasts. It is regarded as an age-old natural disaster, as a single swipe of one of its tails can raise tsunamis and flatten mountains. Twelve years before the start of the series, the fox attacked Konohagakure. Its attack was stopped by the Fourth Hokage, who gave his life to seal the fox into his son, Naruto Uzumaki.[122] Throughout the series, Naruto tries to gain dominance over the fox, as harnessing its great strength allows him to perform jutsu that would normally be impossible for a ninja of his level.[144] At the same time the fox tries to gain control over Naruto, provoking his rage and thus allowing its violent personality to influence and consume him. As Naruto draws upon more of the fox's power the seal keeping it trapped within him weakens, and in the event the seal is broken the fox will be released.[169] In the Japanese anime, its seiyū is Tesshō Genda, and in the English adaption the fox is voiced by Paul St. Pet...Read More...

The Sand Siblings are ninja from the Sunagakure village, and the children of the Fourth Kazekage, the leader of the village.[132] They come to Konohagakure to participate in the biannual ninja exams, and serve as antagonists in the subsequent invasion of Konohagakure. Due to their interactions with Naruto Uzumaki, they later return as allies of Konohagakure, aiding him in his attempts to retrieve Sasuke Uchiha from Orochimaru's ninja.
